Character Break

March 9, 2012

Time it marches on.

–       Obama’s attempts to become a Hollywood mover & shaker remain unfulfilled.

–       I was reading reviews of old Doctor Who episodes on the AV Club’s website, because that’s how I choose to waste time in my daily life when I came across the review for series 6’s The Doctor’s Wife which was written by nerd aficionado Neil Gaiman! I never knew that, but now it makes sense because that episode is all heart and filled with moments that make you realize just how fragile the universe and the Doctor really are.

–       A discussion on whether we need a revolution of male characters in young adult & children’s films.

–       Mark Wahlberg is apparently making a reality television show about union organizers, which should definitely be interesting.

–       Tara, a very brave 13 year old Iranian girl is participating in the country’s underground music movement at a time when female vocalists are banned Listen to her sing Adele’s Someone like you.
